January Guest Artist Laura Pucci

Laura Pucci is an award-winning artist and educator based in North Port, Florida. She has been teaching since 1991 and is currently the art teacher at Port Charlotte Middle School, where her students have earned numerous local, state, and national awards. She was named the 2022 PCMS Teacher of the Year and a Charlotte County Teacher of Distinction.

Born into a family of artists and craftsmen, Laura works primarily in mixed media and fiber art. Her current practice focuses on upcycling vintage fabrics and notions to create quilt collage and soft sculpture. Laura regularly accepts commissions and has received multiple awards for her work.
